First official winter games, even though it would take until 1926 before
the IOC acknowledged the games as such. When held, it was known simply as
International Sports Week of 1924. Apart from ice hockey and figure
skating, there were also several cross country skiing and ice skating
events on the program.
Norway dominated these games completely and won almost half of the medals.
In the women's figure skating, the only 11 years Sonia Henie finished last. She would soon
become a leading figure in the skating world. A demonstration event that was
held was Military Patrol Race, a predecessor of Biathlon.
